Let’s discuss the components of physical fitness.
v Energy
It can be defined as the ability to overcome resistance or the ability
of a muscle to function. Push-ups and long jumps help develop strength.
v Speed
It is measured by the speed of movement. Speed is the ability of a child
to cover a distance in the shortest possible time. For example, a student’s
ability to cover a short distance running at the shortest possible time is
called speed.
v Endurance
It is defined as the ability of a person to function for a long time
under a state of fatigue.
v Flexibility
It is defined as the ability to move with more extension or. In other
words, it can be referred to as a series of movements with or around a
particular limb or the act of opening or contracting as many joints as possible
throughout the body. The “sit and reach test” helps develop flexibility.
v Agility
It has to do with the body’s ability to move fast. A 4×10 m shuttle run test can be conducted to test the agility of the students.
