The pedagogy of the social sciences

The field of social sciences at an early stage is an important part of general education. The content of its subject area includes a broad understanding of human interaction with the natural and social environment in time, space and institutions. Social science teaching promotes human values of equality for freedom, trust and diversity by enhancing the scholar’s ability to think critically on social issues that emphasize personal and social well-being. Its themes also include the imposition of other values such as harmony, equality, liberation, justice, brotherhood, pride, plurality and harmony. Each branch of the social sciences has its own distinctive method of investigation to arrive at conclusions by understanding, analyzing, evaluating and using a logical and rational approach to understanding the cause and effect relationship of processes and events. Moreover, it is important to know that the socialsciences also contribute to methods of self-scientific inquiry which, in contrast to the natural and physical sciences, become a unique thing.

It is envisaged here that pedagogical processes in the social science will arouse curiosity and interest in scholars to exchange ideas and experiences, to listen quietly to the ideas of others and to express facts and experiences in their own language by critically evaluating them. This branch acquaints the scholars with various concepts which they can understand from their own living experiences. As a mentor you can encourage scholars to engage in healthy discussions, dialogues and reading from a variety of sources do that they can be aware of the various developments that have taken place in their disciplines using supportive  technology.
